Doc’s Streetside Grille Moves Out, A Boutique Hotel Moves In

If you’ve noticed that Doc’s Streetside Grille is looking a little empty, it’s because it abruptly closed on December 28th.  Bungalower broke the story noting a facebook post provided by the restaurant thanking it’s patrons for three years of great times.  The location on 1315 S. Orange Avenue in SoDo housed the bottom floor of the multi-story building with offices above it.  The space is going to be transformed into a Boutique Hotel. Dr. Tom Winters and his partners own the property including an adjoined second building where Dr. Winters runs his medical practice.  This secondary property will not be affected by the changes to the Doc’s building.

The Delany Park Hotel Brings Contemporary Class To Sodo

The project is estimated to take about 12-14 month and while nothing has been set in stone the working name of the 54-room hotel is the DelaneyPark Hotel.  According to their website the hotel rooms will range from suite, to king, and double queen. There will be a restaurant onsite but the name has not been released at this time. but according to Greg Allowe, the Executive Vice President the mid-scale casual restaurant will offer banquet and catering services featuring everyone’s favorite fare from around the globe.
