Better Nutrition That Delivers
Orlando City has formed a new partnership with The Fresh Stop Bus which will provide residents who do not have access to affordable, high-quality produce the opportunity to purchase fresh food. Every month, the Fresh Stop mobile farmer’s market visits more than a dozen neighborhoods in central Florida making stops in Dr. J.B. Callahan Neighborhood Center, the John H. Jackson Community Center and the L. Claudia Allen Senior Center.
Fresh Produce Comes To You
In Central Florida more than 90,000 people live areas without easy access to fresh, nutritional foods. Limited food choices often result in poor nutrition as families rely on fast or processed foods sold by neighborhood convenience stores making them more susceptible to illness and disease.
Healthier Eating Equals A Healthy Community
Hebni Nutrition Consultants put their vision for better food options in motion with the Fresh Stop bus. A mobile farmers market created to serve those in-need giving them better options besides the easily accessible high fat, high sugar options available within their neighborhoods. The program offers fresh fruits and vegetables in community-centered locations and at budget-friendly prices.
The Fresh Stop mobile farmers market is a not-for-profit program supported by the Central Florida community. Any donation, no matter how small, helps them keep the bus on the road. If you’d like to give your time or resources please visit their Donate page.
