A Holly, Jolly, Very Merry Weekend!
Ways to Spend the Weekend With Your Family Before Christmas
’Tis the season for the jolliest of frolicking! Grab a jacket and scarf and lace up your boots, and enjoy the holiday cheer in the coming weeks as Christmas approaches. The City Beautiful knows how to ring in the season!
Take a quick drive to Altamonte and check out Light Up The Holidays at Cranes Roost! Events are happening nightly from now until December 23rd. Holiday concerts to lift your spirits, Santa’s elves to set up the holiday workshop mood, and Dickens Christmas carolers to spread the joy, even to the Scrooges among us!
Take a leisurely stroll down Park Avenue in Winter Park to experience a beautiful, seasonal evening that feels like something out of a fairy tale. The rustic vibes of the Ave mingle so nicely with the twinkling lights, lending to the most festive atmosphere. Perfect place to bring your sweetie, your little ones, or just you to do some evening shopping!
The Leu House at Leu Gardens is an 11-room estate, decorated perfectly for the holidays. Enjoy the resplendent beauty of one of our local treasures, and then warm up inside the house! Tours are included in the price of admission to Leu Gardens.
Everyone’s favorite Tchaikovsky Christmas ballet, the Nutcracker Suite, will be performed by the Russian Ballet of Orlando at the Walt Disney amphitheater at Lake Eola on Saturday, December 17th! Best of all, it’s free! What a beautiful Christmas gift.
Head on over to the Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola once again on December 23rd for a special free screening of A Christmas Story. Feel like a kid again!
It may not be snowing, and you might actually want to think twice about bundling up in that jacket, scarf and boots (sorry, I got ahead of myself!), but Orlando doesn’t fall short on holiday spirit. Hit the town and get your cheer on!
