Cult Classic: Stand By Me @ The Enzian Theater

After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O’Connell), Chris Chambers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first, the boys’ adventure evolves into a defining event in their lives.

Paint And Play @ Phelps Park

National Smore Day @ Orlando Science Center

Orlando Science Center has planned a variety of activities to celebrate this wonderful snack! We will be making s’mores with solar ovens to test out what the best method of toasting really is! We will also be making liquid nitrogen marshmallows from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on the Level 4 rotunda. Bring your appetites because you will be able to sample these scientific snacks!

Dorothy is happy in her Fairytale Land of Oz. The Wicked Witch of the North, however, wants a happy ending instead of being melted when Dorothy throws a bucket of water on her. To get that happy ending, the Wicked Witch of the North must go to Fairytale land. When the Wicked Witch of the North arrives in Fairytale Land, it messes up the Fairytale stories of Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, and Snow White and the Evil Queen. Even worse, the Evil Queen will have to deal with the consequences of the arrival of the Wicked Witch of the North.

MBGC Charity Adult Prom @ Orchid Garden

Mel’s Bad Girls Club Charity Organization has celebrated Prom for the last 9 years benefiting B.A.S.E Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation. It is a chance for adults to experience PROM just like in high school but with no curfew and spiked cocktails! PROM is an excuse for adults to get dressed up, dance, and have a great time and all for a good cause!
