There’s a new trend in high fashion this year and it’s complete TRASH! The 2nd Annual Trash 2 Trends Fundraiser for Keep Orlando Beautiful INC will put 30 local designers and artists to the test as they turn trash into trendy runway looks. On Saturday, February 28th at the Orlando Repertory Theatre located on 1001 E. Princeton Street you’ll be able to see what’s hot and what’s not in recycled fashions this season.

The guidelines for these rouge designs is to be WILDLY creative! To make something wearable or over the top using salvaged trash such as cans, newspapers, jugs, bottle caps, jars, boxes and anything else you’d find on it’s way to the local recycling center. These trashy treasures can be painted, printed, dyed, and written on but each piece created must be recycled from head to toe.
This show will stretch your thinking about how fashion design and art can be more sustainable by using discarded items. These recycled designs will take pieces that most people would toss and send them revamped, renewed and rocking down the runway. This creative event is an effort to help keep the city beautiful forever that way by promoting sustainability in a fun and innovative way. Tickets for this event are only $30 and can be purchased HERE. This is an 18 and up event. Cocktail attire is required.
